Taken from the top of Davis's chorine plant works house Platt Hall on the left the timbered structure on the right i think is a sulfuric acid pipe line running to Bowmen Thomson's soda ash works which used an odd ball   ammonia soda leblanc process to make soda ash date about 1900

 The buildings at the front are Davis's chorine works which i think where mercury cell, the chimney on the far left was a sulphuric acid plant just on the right hand side side of todays Jack Richard and sons. I can remember a team from Holford digging holes on this site all dressed up in rubber suits and  gas masks it was horrible black gunge they where tip toeing about frightened to death of the gunge,  just in front is the works house and timbered barns all gone the three buildings to the right are todays ash shed date 1900

 This is a good picture of the Black Greyhound with the Slow and Easy behind Hall lane is between them just about get a horse and cart down there i wonder who the smartly dressed young girl is.
